When did you realize you wanted to pursue music as a career? I was 12 years old when I went to listen to an amazing orchestra in Budapest. At that time I felt that I want to be a member of an orchestra in the future.

How did you hear about TŌN? What inspired you to apply? I graduated from Bard College Conservatory and I heard that there will be a Master’s program focusing on orchestra playing. Also I really love the place and the atmosphere, so I thought I will take the audition and play with wonderful and talented musicians.

Who is your biggest inspiration? My biggest inspirations are Jasha Heitfetz, Janine Jansen, and Maxim Vengerov.

Which composer do you feel you connect with the most? My favorite composers are Shostakovich, Beethoven, and many more.

What is your favorite piece of music, and why do you love it? One of my favorite pieces is Shostakovich’s 10th Symphony, the second movement. It has so much power and it really represents the composer’s feelings. I love it!

What has been your favorite experience as a musician? Wow, I feel so lucky that I have so many, but the most memorable experience was when I went to Wuhan, China to study the Chinese language and also teach violin to young kids.

If you could play another instrument, what would it be? Double bass

What is your favorite place you’ve traveled to and why? My favorite place was Cuba. Their culture is so rich, and I love their music. I hope I can go back.

Tell us something about yourself that might surprise us: Last year during the summer I played some pop and reggaeton music with a DJ in Latin bars.
