Musical origins: I began playing cello at the age of 6 because my mom thought I was too naughty. She wanted me to be a quiet and elegant girl.

Most fun pieces to play: Almost everything in the chamber and orchestral repertoires. My favorites include Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, Tchaikovsky’s String Sextet, Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings, the Shostakovich suites…
