Through a gift to The TŌN Fund, you will help to inspire and support TŌN graduate students and their education.
What is TŌN?
TŌN students—select musicians who hail from the finest conservatories across the U.S. and abroad, including Hungary, Korea, China, Japan, Canada, and Venezuela—must complete a rigorous, three-year academic program leading to a Masters of Curatorial, Critical and Performance Studies. In addition to tackling interdisciplinary coursework that cultivates a broader understanding of music’s place in culture and history, TŌN candidates prepare and perform in professional concerts at Bard’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall, and multiple venues in New York City. TŌN candidates will create music education programs designed to engage underserved communities of adults and children in the Hudson Valley and its environs.
What is The TŌN Fund?
Gifts to The TŌN Fund are vital to our future as we work together to shape exceptional musicians who intend to redefine what it means to be an orchestra. They learn from a renowned faculty how to curate repertoire that engages concertgoers, sparks new ideas, and attracts new audiences. All gifts are an important investment in TŌN’s efforts to fully prepare musicians for the challenges facing the modern symphony orchestra.
